The one thing I always thought was a little weird was Vanger’s patronage of Bloomkvist. It seemed a little too good to be true. I had a long running theory that the person who planted the story with Blomkvist was actually working with Vanger as a means to get him into trouble. Looking forward to watching the (Foreign) movie!

You sometimes forget that, not that long ago, gays were subjected to tremendous persecution. It was individuals like Harvey Milk who fought to stop it while attaining equal rights for gays. The movie Milk, educational as it is thoroughly entertaining, reminds us how deadly ignorance and intolerance can be.

Yes, it remains a gem of the Great White Way and I, too, am glad this new production remained true to its origins. Why mess with success? For me, the appeal of A Chorus Line (besides its fabulous score, entertaining dialogue and remarkable dancing)is the simple message that A Chorus Line delivers: Believe in yourself, try your best and maybe the breaks will fall your way and you’ll get that part on the dancing line (or that job, or that house, etc. Whatever your dream might be.)
